An Investigation on performance of the cut off wall and numerical analysis of seepage and pore water pressure of Eyvashan earth dam

Abstract One of the most important issues in earth dams is control rate seepage from foundation and dam bodies. Due to site dams, increase creep length reduce seepage, there are several methods for sealing reservoir that construction cut-off wall under clay core one effective methods. In this study, pore water pressure Eyvashan dam, comparison instrument results with numerical analysis and, finally, performance investigated. According instrumental analysis, maximum full conditions equal 831,604 m 3 /year. To fit data instrumentation multivariate regression was used coefficient determination which R 2 = 0.9892 0.9834, respectively, were obtained pressure. Very good agreement between observed predicted indicates proper behavior terms Also, due simulation instrumentation, downstream part suddenly dropped, correct operation wall.
